Check VESA first
Most arms expect common VESA patterns, but some monitors need an adapter. Confirm the mounting pattern before ordering.
Use the monitor's actual weight
The advertised screen size is less important than the monitor's weight without the original stand. Stay comfortably inside the arm's rated range.
Clamp vs grommet
A clamp is easy to install but needs a strong, compatible desk edge. Grommet mounting is cleaner when the desk has an appropriate hole.
